Wow!
The semester is almost over and I been away for a while during the last few
weeks, I have learned that using technology in the classrooms is not a bad
idea. Now I know that there are many
useful sources on the web that can help our future students from K-12 and
college students like me to be successful in our education. For example the usage like Google’s power
point that allows me to edit via video chat with my group members in case we can’t
meet. Another great tool was a website that can organize my side notes. I am old school and I like to get all my
colorful pens out and write on my books because I like to see my book colorful.
But this website can actually help people to be organize effectually without
losing their information, and that’s when it comes handy.

Finally this week I got the chance to do my
presentation of the White Buffalo Calf Woman in front of my classmates, even though
most of my classmates left before my presentation. But anyways life goes on; I
was able to explain the main ideas about our chapter and the reasons why we
have many misconceptions about the myths that have a woman as god. Before my presentation there were two others
that explained the meaning of a sacred place, and the relationship of families,
friends, and love. The first one was the
Vietnamese myth title The Areca Tree. The other myth was the Popul Vu a Mayan myth. What I learned about these two myths is the
importance of natural elements such as the water. During the The Areca Tree presentation the group
was discussing about the meaning of a sacred place and how a sacred place can
be any particular place that have a meaning to the people. But also said that a sacred place can also
have a connection to religious beliefs and is use to worship gods.

I am aware that I been absent for a while but the reason is that I been working with my group in our project of the white Buffalo calf woman twbcw for short. The reason we pick this myth is because it is a native American myth something that is usual in English classes. When thinking about it I can remember when was the last time I have read a Native American myth. I have always wonder why English classes don't teach native American literature? Is it because their literature is not important or as interesting as the other stories? Whatever the case is I would like to teach about Native American literature so my students would be able to understand the real American culture.

Poetry and its fantasy
Hello guys,
Honestly poetry is my weakness, but doing these two poems it
was helpful. These two poems are free
verse and I hope you like them.
Poison
Your poison is the sweet liquid
My heart desires
Even though it kills me
I desire more
The sweet poison is my addiction
It consumes me and I
refuse to lose your sweet poison.
But let’s face it,
Nunca podre tapar el sol con
un dedo
should we?
I’d rather have your poison
Than nothing at all
Your
lips are my weakness
Every time we kiss
I forget who I am? The hate and love
we feel
Our souls may be as cold as ice
But our lips know the truth
They awake the passion we both have
But time is up,
and the effects of your poison is gone.
Nature has its mysteries as do you,
Winter is when I miss you most.
The emptiness has swallowed my
heart. The agony has stolen my soul.
Patience is a virtue, and
I promise to wait
but my heart eagers
and I should wait
All the memories I have
Locked away in your soul
Every time the wind blows
Your scent embraces me, my skin shivers
I close my eyes and I see you
The days are long and shallow as a puddle in summer
Even the sun wonders if you ever coming back
But I’ll be patient because
the hope
To see you blossom makes me wait and wonder.

The Beatles - Hey Jude (Live)
Hello Guys
I chose this awesome song by the Beatles “Jude.” The reason is because of the usage of personification. When you pay attention to the song, you are able to create a picture of a person. Even though they don’t sing it in this song, you are able to have an image of a person. According to Deutsch’s definition personification means a figurative language “which an inanimate object s to have human traits and virtues represented as persons. For example the first use of personification is when they sing
“The minute you let her under your skin”
Doesn't mean that the person would go under the other person body, but instead it means that this feeling that he has for this girl, is not superficial but instead in goes deep in his heart and mind.
The second example is
“Don’t carry the world upon your shoulders”
Again this sentence means that he is suffering for this love and that he is not the only one. But it doesn't mean that he is literary carrying the world.
The reason I like this song is because of the melody. At first it starts with a slow tempo, and by the end of the song it feels like a soft rock then a melody. To be honest I don’t know the story behind the song, or the reason why they wrote this song, but it has a lot of meanings. This song is not like the other depressing songs that make you cry because you don’t have your love one. In the contrary it helps you to achieve the goal that you have in life.
